STEA: Student Tennessee Education Assocation
The Frank L. Wells Chapter of the Student Tennessee Education Association (STEA) is composed of education majors and minors who are preparing to teach.
Its purpose is to offer its members all the opportunities, responsibilities, and privileges of the National Education Association and the Tennessee Education Association and to acquaint future teachers with the history, ethics, and program of the organized teaching profession, as well as special projects benefiting students, faculty, administration, area schools, and other members of the community.

Individually and collectively, STEA is one of the nation's largest state affiliates for students preparing to teach. Membership is open to students enrolled in any Tennessee college or University.
