Evans is FDR of Bracketology

Posted Apr 8, 2026

Dr. Evans won the 17th Annual Department March Madness Bracket Challenge. Evans won his fourth bracket challenge and so becomes the FDR of Bracketology because Franklin Roosevelt won the presidency four times. Evans also is the third person to win back-to-back bracket challenges.

He led from start to finish but faced a strong challenge from Eva Isom. The victor would depend on whether Illinois made it to the championship game. Eva ended up picking two of the schools that accepted her into law school. Alas, Wisconsin did not perform as well as other Big Ten teams in the tournament. For coming in second place, she will be the Vice President of Bracketology. We just hope that Dr. Evans can finish his fourth term as bracketology champion.

Macee Hufstedter, participating in her first bracket challenge, came in a close third in the challenge. She did pick UConn to make the championship game, but she went with her heart by picking the Vols to win it all.

Audrey Taylor has the pride in being the only person to choose Michigan as the correct winner. Five people choose Arizona to win it all followed by Duke with four picks.
