Study Abroad Workshop
Culture-Crossing and Culture-Shaping Educational Opportunities--Hosted by the Institute for International and Intercultural Studies and Language Department.
Learn about the many educational opportunities available to Union students through the University’s external study programs. While studying at Union, students can travel in the United States or around the world to earn credit hours in their discipline or the general core curriculum. External programs provide experiences in very specialized academic areas like the Los Angeles Film Studies Program or in unique educational environments like Qingdao University in China or Salzburg College. Union has approved programs in Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Mediterranean Rim, as well as in the United States. Hear firsthand the experiences of a panel of Union students who have recently returned from external study, and talk the Institute’s program coordinators and faculty advisors about how to make external study a part of your son or daughter’s Union experience.

Going Global with GO Trips!
Hosted by Andy Pettigrew, Director of Student Ministries & Julie Bradfield, Director of Student Outreach.
Andy and Julie will share with you about the Global Outreach program and how students are playing a significant role in what God is doing around the world. They will explain the process of GO Trips, what's available to students, and why these trips may be one of the greatest experiences a student will have while at Union. This is also a perfect opportunity for you to ask any questions related to the program.

Hundley Center Workshop
Hosted by Cassaundra Harris, Director of the Hundley Center of Academic Enrichment.
Cassaundra will explain the resources Union's Hundley Center provides our students to succeed in the classroom and how you can offer support.

Bowling Night

Sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
After Friday’s banquet, head over to the Family Fun Center (off Hwy 45 Bypass) for a night of bowling. This event is free for those participating in Family Weekend 2007. Mom and Dad, we’re leaving transportation up to you. All family members are welcome to attend.

Sibling Sleep-over

Bring your sleeping bag and camp out in your brother or sister’s room. Find out what college life at Union is really like and how messy (or clean) your sibling keeps their room. Each student must register his or her sibling at the Commons by Friday, October 5. 2007, at 6:00 p.m.

*Union students are responsible for their siblings staying in their room and must accompany them at all times. Only siblings of the same sex may stay in the dorms unless arrangements are made by current Union students for their siblings to stay with friends.

*Special Family Weekend Residence Life Open Visitation Hours: Friday Noon-9:00 p.m. & Saturday 2:00p.m.- 9:00p.m.

All-Sing

All-Sing is musical competition open to all organizations on campus. It is sponsored by Sigma Alpha Iota and features both large and small group acts. Each group is judged in several categories, including musicality, choreography and creativity. This year's theme is Reel Classics, the music from the movies we love.
