Promotions

  • Dr. Andrew Martin has been promoted to Full Professor and granted tenure.
  • Kristina Martin has been promoted to Director of Pharmacy Admissions.
  • Dr. Joel Owen has been promoted to Full Professor and granted tenure.
  • Dr. Lauren Peyton has been promoted to Associate Professor.
  • Dr. Mark Stephens has been promoted to Professor and has been granted tenure. He has also been promoted to Assistant Dean for Experiential Education.
  • Dr. Jodi Taylor has been promoted to Associate Professor.
  • Dr. Blake Watkins has been granted tenure.

Officer Positions

Dr. Kim Jones was recently reappointed to the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy Council on Education and Workforce development. This time she will serve as Vice-Chair of the council.

Faculty & Staff Awards

The Faculty & Staff Appreciation Banquet was held on April 10, 2014. Dr. Ashok Philip was chosen by the Class of 2014 as the speaker for their Honors & Awards Ceremony held on May 16, 2014. Dr. Mark Stephens was recognized as Faculty Member of the Year by the Class of 2015. Aven Humphreys was recognized as the Staff Member of the Year by the Class of 2015; Dr. Luna Bennett was recognized as Faculty Member of the Year by the Class of 2016; and Dr. Blake Watkins and Dr. Richard Wamble were both recognized as Faculty Member of the Year by the Class of 2017.
