Class of 2016

White Coat Ceremony on August 22.

On August 13, 2012, the UUSOP officially welcomed the Class of 2016 into the program. Our 60 students come to us from more than 15 states. The first week of school started off with a 2-day P1 orientation that included helpful sessions for the new students as well as a UUSOP Ice Cream Social and Bowling night.

The Class of 2016 White Coat Ceremony & Reception was held on August, 22, 2012. More than 400 pharmacy students, family members and guests were on hand for this very special event. The students were presented with their white coats compliments of Walmart Stores, Inc. and Dr. David MacIntosh, Health & Wellness Market Director for Walmart.

Dr. Kent Stoneking, Chair of Pharmacy Practice for the School of Pharmacy, offered the keynote address. He explained how hardships and struggles in his life were actually gifts from God and encouraged the Class of 2016 to have the same mindset when facing the challenges that pharmacy school will present over the next 4 years. Read more about Dr. Stoneking's address at www.uu.edu/news. It was a memorable afternoon by all who attended but especially to the members of the Class of 2016 as the ceremony marked the beginning of their career in pharmacy.
