September is Atrial Fibrillation Awareness Month, watch this short clip to find out more information about "AFib"

The UUCOP Honduras mission team enjoyed a great trip in January 2018. We visited Tegucigalpa, Honduras where we partnered with two local churches to provide medical, dental, and pharmacy services. We also shared the Gospel with adults as they left the clinic area, and we had a separate area for children's ministry where we gave them colorful bracelets that shared the story of salvation. We also played games, sang songs, washed hair, and treated the children for lice if appropriate. We saw over 1,500 people over the course of the week! We were very appreciative of the opportunities this experience provided for us to provide medical care and share the love of God with others.

The Practice Advancement Initiative (PAI) aspires to transform how pharmacists care for patients by empowering the pharmacy team to take responsibility for medication-use outcomes. This video hopes to encourage pharmacists to take advantage of the strategies outlined through the ASHP's PAI. This was done by showing the "before's" and "after's" of how the PAI can help improve overall patient care.

The Union University College of Pharmacy (UUSOP) chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) received Honorable Mention for their submission in the 2012 APhA-ASP PharmFlix Video Contest. This year, APhA-ASP received 41 submissions to the contest with the theme of "Share Your Story." As a recipient of Honorable Mention, the UUSOP APhA-ASP video will be shown at the 2012 APhA Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
