King receives $10,000 AACP grant for pharmacy research

Sean King, assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Union University, was one of 18 recipients of the New Investigator Award given by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. NCPA Canned Food and Toy Drive/AAPS Speaker Dr. Gobburu

The Union University School of Pharmacy student chapter of National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) recently hosted a canned food and toy drive to benefit the families and children at the Dream Center. The Dream Center is a local Christian organization that provides housing for women and their children while the mothers find jobs to get back on their feet. READ MORE

Student Chapter of AAPS Recognized

In January of this year, Union University's School of Pharmacy was proud to start a student chapter of AAPS. Though Union University has existed since 1823, the School of Pharmacy is just entering its fourth year. The chapter provides a professional and exciting learning environment and exposure to pharmaceutical science research for students in the Pharm.D. program. They seek to advance members' knowledge, to allow students to network and assume leadership positions, and to create awareness of career opportunities. READ MORE (.pdf)
