
MAT (Miller's Analogy Test)
- The deadline to register to take an MAT exam is midnight prior to the testing date. An MAT exam cannot be registered for on the day of the exam.
- MAT exams are 60 minute timed exams administered via the paper/pencil method. Please allow at least 2 hours to take an MAT exam. This includes time required for student check- in and time required to complete the answer sheet
- Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive personal score reports for the MAT exam.
- Please bring with you two sharpened #2 pencils and a photo I.D.
- Registration is limited to 14 examinees per scheduled exam date.
- MAT Testing fee is $65.00 payable at the time of testing by check (made out to Union University) or cash (exact change only.) The testing fee cannot be paid by credit card.
- There is a 2 day (work day Monday-Friday) minimum requirement to cancel a scheduled MAT exam. If the two day (work day Monday-Friday) cancellation requirement is not met, and the student does not show to take the exam for which they have registered, the student will be responsible to pay a test administration fee.
- Union Student No-Show: The $15.00 Test Administration Fee will be charged to the student's account.
- Non-Union Student No-Show: The $25.00 Test Administration fee must be received by Union University within 7 working days of the scheduled exam. If the Test Administration Fee is not received within 7 days of the scheduled exam the Non-Union student will be unable to register for additional CLEP exams at Union University until the Test Administration Fee is received. Also, future CLEP exams the Non-Union student has registered to take will be canceled until the fee is received.

- If an MAT exam is taken more than once during a 12 month period of time, a re- admission ticket is required to be admitted into the testing room. For questions concerning a re-admissions ticket please contact Harcourt Assessment at 800/622-3231.
- MAT exams are administered on the 2nd floor of Hammons Hall above the Lifeway Christian Bookstore. Park in the side lot; come in the side door; come up the stairs or elevator. There will be signs on the 2nd floor directing you to the testing room.
