Rising Senior Program

Rising Senior Program

Union University's Rising Senior Program is designed for outstanding high school students who have completed their junior year and want to "try out" college. Offered during the month of June, this intensive summer program allows students the opportunity to earn up to 7 semester hours of college credit. Core curriculum classes such as English composition, college algebra, laboratory science, history and psychology are available at a fraction of normal tuition costs. Students also have the opportunity to participate in activities outside the classroom, ranging from community outreach projects to movie nights to student development seminars.

While at Union University, you will experience a strong sense of community and a commitment to academic excellence. You will study and live with students who desire to deepen their understanding of what it means to live and learn as a Christian.

Events

The Rising Senior experience will include a number of activities designed for your personal enrichment and enjoyment. Activities include:

Cost

A fee of $125 per credit hour is charged in lieu of normal tuition costs. Room and board charges (if applicable) as well as student services fees will apply at the regular university rate charged to full-time students.

All credit hours will become a part of your permanent college transcript. These college-level credits should be transferable to other accredited colleges and universities.

Housing

Housing in The Quads and a cafeteria meal plan are available for those students who will not be commuting from home.
