Minds on the Edge: Facing Mental Illness - A television program that aired on PBS stations in October 2009. This media project explores severe mental illness in America.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) - An organization that seeks to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through providing support, education, advocacy, and research.

Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) - A nonprofit national organization that is the sole accrediting agency for social work education (both undergraduate and graduate) in the USA.
National Association of Social Workers (NASW) - Network with other social workers, find local NASW chapters, and renew membership. Link to social work jobs and access current press releases on social work related issues and events.
North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW) - A nonprofit organization that seeks to "equip its members to integrate Christian faith and professional social work practice".

Children's Defense Fund - A nonprofit child advocacy organization that advocates on behalf of children nationwide to prioritize the needs of children and lift them out of poverty.
Kids Count Data - Developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Kids Count is a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the United States. Access to various data publications with key indicators, rankings, and reports on child well-being.
Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth - An independent state agency whose mission is to advocate to improve the quality of life for Tennessee children and families.

Mentor: Expanding the World of Quality Mentoring - Program that connects kids to mentors. Website contains information about starting a mentoring program in addition to related resources and research.
Tennessee Governor's Mentoring Initiative - Governor Phil Bredesen's Mentoring Initiative is a program of the Tennessee Children's Cabinet that targets pairing teenagers in foster care with volunteer mentors.

Gift From Within - An international nonprofit organization for survivors of trauma and victimization.

J Crib Urban Ministries - An outreach organization that serves the families and youth of Jackson, TN. Working through Evangelical Community Church (ECC), J Crib seeks to disciple, encourage, and support urban families through Christ's love and Biblical principles.
