Mathis Elected by TAILACTE

Melessia E. Mathis, M.Ed., Director of Clinical Experiences & Assistant Professor of Education

November 1, 2009 - In September 2009, Mrs. Melessia Mathis was elected as the West Tennessee Representative of the Tennessee Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges of Teacher Education (TAILACTE). She coordinates meetings with the West Tennessee Colleges with Teacher Education programs to discuss topics on the forefront of Teacher Education. As the representative, she is responsible for generating bi-yearly progress reports of the West Tennessee Teacher Education Programs and present the findings at the fall and spring TAILACTE conference.

TAILACTE (Tennessee Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges of Teacher Education) consists of the independent institutions with teacher education programs in Tennessee, of which Union University is a member.
