Dr. Bill Hedspeth Retires

This semester marks the conclusion of twenty-six years of service at Union for Dr. Bill Hedspeth. He has served in many roles, including Chair of the Department of Education. Dr. Hedspeth's career includes service in Missouri public schools as a teacher and principal. He is loved by Union students, his colleagues, and young children. He possesses the ability to convert theory into practice. His classes are filled with creative ideas to make learning fun and meaningful. As colleagues gave tribute to him during the most recent celebration of his
career, the common thread was his authenticity. He is who he seems to be. There is no pretense. He will be missed.
