Doctorate of Ministry at Union University

If you are currently a pastor and desire to enhance your practice of expository preaching, Union University is excited to introduce you to our new Doctorate of Ministry program. Taught by an outstanding Christian Studies faculty at one of the premiere Christian universities in America, this affordable program can be completed in three and a half years. The seminars are hosted at the Stephen Olford Center at Union University, an 18-acre retreat-like setting Memphis, Tennessee. The campus includes outstanding classroom and library resources as well as onsite lodging and food services.

The D. Min. offers the following:

• Deeper understanding of the nature of expository preaching, informed by a biblical and practical study of expository preaching.
• Advanced competency in the preparation and delivery of expository sermons
• Documented research skills, demonstrated by a fresh contribution to the practice of expository preaching through a doctoral dissertation or project
• Professional growth in ministry dimensions such as personal spiritual formation, biblically balanced ministry, church renewal and revival, and evangelism and global missions
• Greater personal spiritual maturity through increased love for God, Scripture and persons

A brief summary of the requirements for the program are as follows:

• A Master of Divinity (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited seminary
• A 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) in all master's level studies
• Three full years of vocational ministry experience after completing the master's degree
