Job Title: Minister of Worship and Family
Supervisor: Church Pastor Position Status: Full-Time Position
Summary: The Minister of Worship and Family will assist the Pastor and church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive music ministry and family ministry.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Family Ministry: 1. Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive plan to disciple children 0-18 and to do outreach ministry to families in the community. 2. Plan and conduct non-church and Sunday School activities such as week day children activities, Mother’s Day Outs, and recreational activities specifically designed to promote assimilation in to the church. 3. Develop budget line items for the ministry. 4. Enlist a team of persons to help direct and conduct family and children’s ministries. 5. Set goals and objectives for outreach and discipleship. 6. Keep church informed of activities and accomplishments. 7. Assist in other duties assigned by the Pastor
Worship Ministry: 1. Coordinate the Church Music Ministry with the calendar and emphases of the church. 2. Work with the Music Committee in determining music ministry goals, organization, leadership, facilities, finances, and administrative process. 3. Assist the Pastor in planning worship services of the church and be responsible for the selection of the music. 4. Be available to counsel, arrange, and provide music for special projects, ministries, and other church related activities in cooperation with appropriate individuals or groups. 5. Direct congregational singing and adult choir. 6. Oversee the training, recruitment, and scheduling of audio/visual personnel. 7. Supervise maintenance of and additions to music library and equipment, including music materials, supplies, instruments, and other music equipment for use in the church’s program. 8. Develop budget line items for the ministry. 9. Assist in other duties assigned by the Pastor.
The specific requirements educationally/experientially) for this position are open to God’s leading, but we consider these to be included: • Biblically qualified for church leadership according to, but not limited to, I Tim 3 and Titus 1. • In agreement with the BF&M 2000. • Fully supportive wife (if married). • Willing to work within a dynamic, traditional worship setting
