Political Science Graduates Seven

The Department of Political Science graduated seven students this past Saturday. We wish these students the best as they begin this next phase of their life. Our graduates are:
Marielle Dirkx of Madison, Mississippi graduated with two degrees, one in Political Science and the other in Economics. She also won the Academic Excellence Award in both majors. She will start the University of Mississippi Law School this fall.
Ben Ayris of Leesburg, Florida, fresh off of his four year collegiate baseball career as a pitcher, is continuing his education by starting the MBA program at Union University.
Andrew Corbett of Jackson, Tennessee is following a family tradition by joining the US Army. He will start Officer Candidate School this summer followed by Ranger and Jump (parachute) School. As he says, he anticipates pursuing an advanced degree at the "University of Baghdad" sometime next year. We wish him Godspeed as he defends our nation in the coming years.
Joshua Pettigrew of Jackson, Tennessee is continuing his leadership development after serving as President of the ATO fraternity by pursuing his MBA at Tennessee Tech this fall.
Jenica Vandiver of Bolivar, Tennessee got married this past December and is pursuing a career in restaurant management with Red Lobster.
Mary Beth Johnson, a Political Science minor, of Hendersonville, Tennessee is moving to Washington, D.C. to start law school at American University.
Brent Parrish, another PSC minor, of Germantown, Tennessee is starting divinity school at Boston University this fall.
