Campus and Community:
A Day of Remembrance and Service

Nov. 1, 2011

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 marks Union University's ninth annual Day of Remembrance campus-wide service day. This is a time when faculty, staff, and students join together to give thanks to God for His protection over our campus during the 2002, 2003, and 2008 tornados.

The day begins at 8:30 am in the chapel for a special corporate worship service. The service will conclude at 9:00 am so service teams can re-group in their assigned locations for final instructions before leaving to serve.

To participate in a project on November 1st, please view the projects below and complete the volunteer sign-up form (coming soon) by Monday, October 31st. Only a limited number of volunteers are needed for each project, so make sure you sign up early. Please note that some projects are reserved for specific classes and/or organizations. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Ware at 731.661.6598 or rware@uu.edu.

Classes will be cancelled in order for students, faculty, and staff to serve together.

Please check with your professor if you are currently in a lab to see if your class will be held on this day. In addition, student teaching, graduate and evening classes will be held on November 1st.
