Position Description:
This position is responsible for teaching physics lecture and laboratory courses in support of the University’s general education requirements and physics major and minor requirements, assisting in development and update of physics courses and labs, overseeing, encouraging and supporting student research projects, and serving on university committees as necessary. Duties include:
· Teaching physical science lecture and laboratory courses in support of University core.
· Teaching Physics lecture and laboratory courses in support of Physics major and minor.
· Assisting department faculty in developing and updating Physics offerings.
· Meeting regularly with Physics department faculty.
· Overseeing, supporting and encouraging Physics student research projects.
· Advising students in curricular matters.
· Serving on university committees.
· Working with department and university faculty in developing a coherent perspective on how the Christian intellectual tradition involves the physical sciences, physics and astronomy particularly.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Ph.D. degree in Physics.
