The Hundley Center for Academic Enrichment paper editors reserve the right to refuse any submitted work that does not comply with the Center's Paper Critiquing Deadline Policy. (See below). Also, students please be aware that plagiarism is a very serious offense. (See Student Handbook for Academic Honesty Policy). Since The Hundley Center for Academic Enrichment paper editors do not conduct your research, we cannot assume responsibility for content. It is your responsibility to cite sources according to MLA, APA, and/or Turabian official guidelines.
Paper Critiquing Deadline Policy
(Time frames listed below refer to notice required)
- 1 page paper requires 24 to 48 hours
- 2-5 page paper requires 3 to 5 business days
- 8-10 page paper requires 6 to 8 business days
Paper Critiquing Process
- Schedule an appointment with a Hundley Center paper editor via the Hundley Center website at www.uu.edu/programs/hundleycenter/appointments
- Bring a strong rough draft to your initial appointment. During your 30-minute appointment, the paper editor will provide you with feedback and critiques. If your paper requires more attention, see the Paper Critiquing Deadline Policy above.
- The Hundley Center will notify you via your UU e-mail account when your paper is ready for pick up.
Hundley Center Policy
Due to the high demand for our tutors, a student who consistently is a "no show" (3 consecutive appointments) or who fails to provide proper cancellation notice (2 hours) without legitimate excuse (sickness, death in the family, accident, or mandatory meeting with a professor or administrator, excuse from University counselor) will forfeit use of the Hundley Center's tutoring program and must seek tutoring with their professor or find tutoring on their own.
