The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) documents serve as the guide for curricula develop, design, and implementation. The Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice (2008) serves as the guide for the BSN program. The Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing (1996) serves as the guide for the MSN Program. The Essentials for Doctoral Education for Advanced Practice Nursing (2006) serves as the guide for the Post-Master's DNP Program and proposed entry level BSN-DNP Program.

The BSN degree program has four tracks, MSN degree program has six tracks, Post-Master's Certificate has five tracks, and the Post-Master's DNP degree program has five tracks. The BSN tracks include the BSNA, Traditional, LPN-BSN, and RN-BSN. The MSN tracks include Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, Nurse Anesthesia, Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and Adult Nurse Practitioner. The Post-Master's Certificate tracks include Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and Adult Nurse Practitioner. The Post-Master's DNP tracks include Nurse Anesthesia, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and Executive Leadership.

The university is fully accredited through 2017 with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097: Telephone 404-679-4501) to award baccalaureate, master's and doctorate degrees. The School of Nursing is fully approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing (reaccredited until informed of next onsite visit). The BSN, MSN, and DNP Degree Programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) (reaccredited through 2016). The Master of Science in Nursing - Nurse Anesthesia Track holds a specialty accreditation with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 222 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, IL, 60068, (847) 655-1160 and is fully accredited until 2022. The Post-Master's DNP - Nurse Anesthesia track holds a specialty accreditation with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) and is accredited until 2016.
