Traditional BSN and LPN-BSN
Admission to the Traditional BSN and LPN-BSN tracks is handled through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 731-661-5100. Please note - application to all non-traditional BSN, MSN & DNP programs is handled through the School of Nursing Admissions.

Accelerated BSN and RN-BSN
Admission for the Accelerated BSN and RN-BSN tracks is conducted through the Office of Nursing Admissions. To apply for one of these nursing tracks, please follow the Admission Process below.
- All application documents including transcripts and reference letters are due in the Nursing Admissions office by the application deadline.
- Please send the Transcript Request Form directly to each school attended and allow 3-4 weeks for receipt of the official transcript in the Nursing Admissions office.
- The Reference Letter should be given directly to the references listed on your application and mailed to the Nursing Admissions Coordinator upon completion.
- Following each application deadline, files are reviewed for the granting of interviews and applicants will be notified by mail of interview status.
Please allow 5 business days after application packet has been mailed to be received in the Office of Admissions and 3 business days to process application. Applicant will be notified by email when application has been processed.
*Please note that students who have two grades less than C in previous nursing courses are NOT eligible for admission to any nursing program at Union University.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, an international application must be completed and submitted with the BSN application.
Admission Process
- Fill out the BSN Application Packet (for Accelerated BSNs or RN-BSN) (contains Application, Reference Form, Transcript Request Form, Standards of Admission and Community Values Statement)
- Pay Your Application Fee (payment of this fee will serve as your electronic signature for the Standards of Admission and the Community Values Statement)
- Review and Complete the Admission Checklist for the desired program
- Pay Your Deposits (once notified by admissions)
MSN/Post-Master's Certificates and DNP
Admission for the MSN/Post-Master’s Certificates and DNP tracks is conducted through the Office of Nursing Admissions. To apply for one of these nursing tracks, please follow the Admission Process below.

Application Deadlines
ROLLING ADMISSIONS: Nursing admissions is on a rolling admission basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply early for early admission decisions.
- Traditional BSN and LPN-BSN (Apply through Undergraduate Admissions)
- MSN (FNP, ANP, PNP, EDU, ADM): March 1 (Applicants are encouraged to apply early for early admission decisions.)
- MSN (Anesthesia): April 1
- DNP tracks: Priority Deadline - April 1 (Applicants are encouraged to apply early for early admission decisions.)
- Accelerated BSN (Jackson & Germantown): Priority Deadline - Feb. 1 (Applicants are encouraged to apply early for early admission decisions.)
- Accelerated BSN (Hendersonville): Priority Deadlines - Sept. 15 & Feb. 1 (admits twice per year - Applicants are encouraged to apply early for early admission decisions.)
- RN-BSN: Rolling Admission

Acceptance is based on a rolling admission process, therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early. While the "priority" deadline is September 15th, applicants may still be considered until the class is full.
