Cap and Gown
Graduates may obtain their cap and gown from Herff Jones by ordering on-line.
- Men, Please Notice: With your academic dress you should wear a solid color shirt, dark tie, dark shoes and dark trousers.
- Women, Please Notice: With your academic dress you should wear solid colored clothing and dark (preferably black) shoes. Jewelry should be kept to an absolute minimum (no dangling earrings please.)
- Men and Women: The academic cap should be worn flat on the head (horizontal with the ground,) with the tassel on the right side until the diploma is received. The academic cap should not be decorated in any way. Graduates wear their tassels on the left. **Graduate students do not move their tassels.

Directions to West Jackson Baptist Church
580 Oil Well Road, Jackson, Tennessee. The church is located off the Highway 45 Bypass north. If you are coming from Memphis, you will take the Highway 45 Bypass exit north. Oil Well Road is the second light. At Oil Well Road, you will take a left, and the church will be on your left after you pass the Kroger Shopping Center.

Spring Graduation ceremonies are traditionally held on the Great Lawn on Union’s Jackson campus. There are several parking options near the SUB and behind Jennings Hall and White Hall.
