About

Tamarin Huelin, Director of Counseling Services, has 32 years of counseling experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She grew up in North Carolina and completed her undergraduate degree in Recreation Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tamarin went on to earn a Masters in counseling from Georgia State University in Atlanta and a diploma in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute (now Richmont University). She practiced counseling in Atlanta, Chicago, and Indiana before coming to Union. Tamarin set up and coordinated an outpatient counseling clinic in downtown Chicago for Minirth Meier New Life (now Meier Clinics). She is recognized as a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC/MHSP) by the state of Tennessee, and as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). Tamarin is married and has one adult son in Tennessee, and one in heaven, and two daughters-in-law. She enjoys being a wife and mother, being a part of her church, reading, being active outdoors, art, picking produce at local farms, and canning.
