About

Taylor Mathis received her B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in Oxford, MS. Following graduation, she completed a 2-year Community Pharmacy Administration Residency Program through Kroger Health and the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. During her residency, she also obtained a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree with an emphasis in Health Outcomes. Her thesis explored the impact of targeted pharmacist- and dietitian-led interventions on clinical outcomes and medication adherence for patients with diabetes. Following residency, Dr. Mathis was blessed with the opportunity to join the Union University College of Pharmacy faculty as an ambulatory care pharmacist in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She served as the Director for Student Success and Wellness 2021-2024 and is now overjoyed to serve as the Assistant Dean for Student Services. She currently teaches a variety of topics including asthma, women’s health, and blood pressure skills. She is passionate about medication therapy management and comprehensive wellness and enjoys spending her work days supporting students as they walk through this incredible season of pursuing their careers in pharmacy.
