About

Dr. Bethany L. Murphy, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy in Ada, Ohio. She then completed a year of residency with the ONU HealthWise program at Ohio Northern University. Dr. Murphy’s residency focused on chronic disease education, management, and prevention. Her practice interests remain focused on outpatient care, where she continues to educate patients regarding chronic disease states and medications and to manage medications in order to help patients achieve their therapy goals. At the Jackson Clinic, Dr. Murphy spends the majority of her time optimizing therapeutic regimens for patients with chronic heart failure and diabetes, educating patients regarding their medications and disease states, and assisting patients with medication access issues.

  • The Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists Resident of the Year Award (2011)

    Purpose: ?To recognize a pharmacy resident who has demonstrated exceptional skills in the area of residency practice. Criteria?: The nominee must currently be in, or have completed a residency program within the past year. Nomination: ?Nominations may be submitted by any member of OSHP, OSHP Board of Directors, or Local Affiliated Chapters. A letter of recommendation from a residency director or preceptor must accompany the nomination. Use of the on-line nomination form is required. Deadline for nomination is January 30th. Selection?: OSHP’s Professional Affairs Division will select an individual from the submitted nominations and recommend to OSHP’s Board of Directors that the individual receive the award. Final approval will be made by the OSHP Board of Directors.

  • APhA-APPM Presentation Merit Award (2011)

    The Presentation Merit Awards were created by the APhA Pharmacy Practice and Management (APhA-APPM) to recognize exceptional poster presentations at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition. The Poster Session provides practitioners, scientists and student pharmacists the opportunity to share innovative practice information, disseminate research findings and share educational tools.
