Tennessee students who graduated in December have until Jan. 6 to enroll in graduate programs at Union University and still be eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.
“In 2023, the state of Tennessee extended HOPE Scholarship eligibility to five years, as long as students maintain continuous enrollment,” said Colby Benefield, Union’s director of financial aid. “That means that students who complete their undergraduate degrees in less than five years can still qualify for significant financial assistance for graduate degrees until their five-year clock runs out.”
All Tennessee residents who previously received the HOPE Scholarship and maintained the required grade point average are eligible. The HOPE Scholarship provides $4,500 to students annually for the first two years and $5,700 annually after that.
With 18 graduate programs in nine areas of study, Union offers a variety of options for students who are interested in continuing their education. Union offers graduate degrees in athletic training, biology, business, education, music, nursing, pharmacy, social work and theology and missions.
“Whatever graduate degree students choose to pursue, they will find a Christ-centered program characterized by excellence that will help prepare them for success in life and career,” said Brooke Emery, Union’s dean of graduate admissions. “Many of our programs are available online or with flexible scheduling that accommodate for working professionals.”
For more information about the graduate degrees Union offers and HOPE Scholarship eligibility is available on Union’s website. General information about Tennessee HOPE is available at collegefortn.org.
Classes for the spring semester at Union begin Jan. 6.
