Reed, Kluck to headline 5th annual EQUIP Youth Apologetics Conference

JACKSON, Tenn. — Union University’s School of Theology and Missions and the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board will host the fifth annual EQUIP Youth Apologetics Conference Sept. 12 in Union’s Carl Grant Events Center.

Erik Reed, founder and lead pastor of The Journey Church in Lebanon, Tenn., and Ted Kluck, associate professor of communication arts at Union University, will be the keynote speakers for the event. Journey Worship Co. will lead worship.

Ray Van Neste, dean for Union’s School of Theology and Missions, said the conference is intended to help students think more carefully about the Christian faith, to strengthen their own faith and to share that faith with others.

Cost is $25 per student, which includes lunch and a T-shirt, and $15 for chaperones. The deadline to register is Aug. 25. For more information or to register, visit www.uu.edu/events/2026-equip-conference/.
