Union University will hold a “topping out” ceremony Feb. 5 to celebrate a milestone in the construction of its new academic building on campus.
The last steel beam before it is installed to “top out” the new building will be available for students, faculty, staff and friends to sign. The facility under construction on Union’s Great Lawn will house the McAfee School of Business and the computer science and engineering departments.
Union expects the building to be completed during the spring semester in 2025.
The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center. The beam is expected to be installed in the structure on Tuesday.
