Union's fourth core value is "future-directed." That involves an unending
cycle of improvements and commitments to students who are not yet with
us—students like you!
Union has invested more than $90 million in campus improvements during the
past decade. We’ve built a new state-of-the-art science building, 14 new
residence life buildings, a new field house with a turf room so large our
baseball team can take infield practice there, and a new soccer facility. More
building plans are in the works.
But we don’t just build with bricks and mortar. We build careers and
opportunities for our students. Some go to work in Washington, D.C. in the White
House or State Department. Others serve in hospitals providing expert care with
compassion. Still others are accepted for graduate study at such places as Wake
Forest Medical School, Northwestern University Law School, University of
Virginia, Vanderbilt, and many others.
Some of our top students will stay right here at Union, to pursue a Doctor of
Pharmacy degree or one of our other fine graduate programs in education, social
work, Christian studies or business.
What do you want to do after college? You might not have a solid answer to
that question at this point in your life. That’s okay! In fact, one of Union’s
strengths is helping you to discover your gifts and to plan your future. That’s
why future-directed is one of our core values.
