Bio:

Connie was born in Covington, TN where she lived for 15 years before her family moved to Ellendale, TN (now incorporated into Bartett). After graduating from Nicholas Blackwell High School in Bartlett, she attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1972 with a diploma in nursing.

After working two years on very intense medical-surgical units, she joined the faculty at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing where she held various full-time and part-time positions for many years.For the last six years of employment there, she functioned in the role of senior instructor.During this time she completed a BSN and MS in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership, with an emphasis on adult learning, at the University of Memphis. After completing her MSN from Union University, she joined the faculty in July, 2005.

Connie is married to Douglas and has two grown daughters, Virginia and Christina, and a two year old grandson, Ethan. She sings in the choir and plays the piano and organ during church services at her church.
