Dear Friends:Union University stands at a strategic
intersection between a marvelous and historic past and a
wonderful and promising future. The current opportunities
described in this booklet profile aspects of our common
vision. This vision is a faith-filled venture, affirming the
truth that “faith is being sure of what we hope for and
certain of what we do not see” (Heb. 11:1).
At this unique time in her history, Union is poised to make
a significant difference in Christian higher education, which
will be possible through the current campaign. The success of
the “Building a Future” campaign will require the commitment
of our long-time supporters, as well as many new friends of
the university. The goals of the campaign – 1) to build
adequate facilities for preparing students to excel in our
challenging 21st Century world; 2) to offer scholarships for
students of outstanding academic ability as well as for those
with special financial needs; 3) to provide endowment to
support Union’s exceptional teaching faculty – are exciting
possibilities for the Union family.
Friends of Union who believe in these goals and share this
vision for excellence have already contributed more than $37
million of the $60 million set for the campaign. Of special
note are the numerous campaign gifts and commitments already
received from trustees, faculty, and staff. Reaching our total
campaign goal will be challenging. But we are confident that
with God’s help and your faithful investment in Union
University we will see these goals reached and even surpassed.
By investing in Union University at this time you will be
making a profound difference in the quality academic programs
and the lives of students for generations to come.
We want to invite you to join what God is doing at Union
University to build the facilities and provide support for
academic and student programs which will serve the ongoing
expansion of our Christ-centered mission. With your
participation and the ongoing favor and blessing of God, we
can together build a great future for Union University.
