  • To provide friends, academic support, and events filled with encouragement and fun for students with similar interests and struggles.
  • To provide an atmosphere in which students and faculty can relate outside of the classroom.
  • To create a professional organization through which students can enhance leadership skills and become better prepared for professional life beyond Union University.

BIOME Quick Facts

  • A student-led organization, BIOME is a wonderful organization to plug into as a biology student.
  • Events are held on a monthly or more frequent basis and include homecoming activities, day trips to the zoo, and talks/seminars with guest speakers.
  • Members of BIOME have the opportunity to serve Union and the greater community. Service projects have included improving the Wildlife Rehab Center and volunteering at Tennessee Safari Park.

What does it take to join?

  • Membership fee is $5.00 for the 2013-2014 academic year..
  • Attendance at all events is not required, but is encouraged. We do not want you to miss out on the fun!
