Biography

Jill Jeanine Webb (born Sinclair) was born in Paducah, Kentucky on January 28, 1954. She attended elementary school in the Paducah City Schools and graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School. Her favorite subjects were English literature, choir and orchestra. In August 1972 she entered Paducah Community College for liberal arts study. Following transfer to Murray State University in 1973, where she was inducted into Alpha Chi as a student, she graduated summa cum laude and received the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in May 1976. After a period as a staff nurse, she entered University of Evansville in Fall 1978 and in August 1981 received a Master of Science in Nursing degree. From 1995 to 1998, she attended school at the University of Tennessee Memphis, graduating with a Ph.D. in December 1998.

She and her family reside in the West Tennessee area where she is Professor in the School of Nursing, Union University. Current disciplinary instruction includes work in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Particular areas of interest in the nursing discipline are care of adults with acute illness, research, risk reduction, clinical reasoning, clinical simulation and person-environment interactions.
