Preceptor Training Workshop - Clinical Sequence![]() ![]() Even though clinical education is focused on the assessment of competencies, each athletic training student is responsible for investing time in field experiences. Each athletic training clinical course is worth three credit hours of academic credit to each student. A portion of the grade received for that credit is contingent on the student fulfilling their obligations in clinical field experiences. The athletic training student must compile a total of 800 hours of clinical field experience in three years to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training Education. A student that has failed to meet these requirements will not receive their diploma, nor will they receive an endorsement to register for the BOC exam.
