West Tennessee Association for Childhood Education International

September 20, 2008 - The West Tennessee Association for Childhood Education International will gather for the 2008 fall conference at Union University on Saturday, September 27, 2008. More than 200 childcare teachers and advocates will participate in the conference themed “Children: Stop, Look & Listen!”

The conference will feature 30+ concurrent sessions focused on keeping our children safe. The invited presenters include Jackie Benton, Jackson Police Metro Narcotics, sharingDrug Endangered Children Awareness, as well as, Bill Younger, Dade County Schools, Miami, FL and Darren L. Robert, Easter Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT. actively involving the participants with “Moving a Little-Learning a Lot!”

Scattered throughout the day are Keeping the Kids Emotional Happy, Teri Canady, Montessori Center of Jackson; Don’t Ask What Your House Plants Can Do for You, Ask what You can do for Your House Plants! Actually, Let’s Talk about Both!, Bas van Buuren, Dutch Gardens; and Lead Poison Prevention, Josh Tallent, Educational and Research Consultant, LeBonheur Community Outreach.
