Faculty Members Participate in TEAM Training
January 28, 2012 - Faculty members from Union University’s School of Education and Teacher Education Program recently participated in the Tennessee Educator Acceleration Model (TEAM) evaluation system training. Understanding the parts of effective teaching that are emphasized with this system, coupled with using the same language that is used in the evaluation system, allows Union’s faculty to more effectively prepare their students for the real world of teaching. Union University’s Teacher Education Program requires numerous clinical experiences in local schools as a part of programs of study for students preparing to teach. As pre-service teachers are assessed with this evaluation system during their university clinicals, they can be confident that they will be successful in their very first year of teaching.
