Dr. Myatt Observes Student Teacher in Morocco

April 5, 2004 - Dr. Dottie Myatt, Director of Teacher Education, returned recently from a trip to Morocco. While there, she completed observation and evaluation of Sarah Hubbard, a Union student who is completing her student teaching at the George Washington Academy in Casablanca. Dr. Myatt met with school administrators regarding partnerships between Union and the school for further placement of student teachers. Additionally, there is a sincere desire on the part of the academy for Union faculty to conduct workshops or related training in the near future. Dr. Myatt has pioneered Union's efforts to place student teachers in international settings. She stresses the need for extremely high standards for the selection of these students.
