Commuting transfers have two options for orientation. They may participate in an abbreviated orientation dinner or
participate in the full new student orientation experience with the other transfer students who live on campus.
This year's fall orientation dinner will be held on Tuesday, August 25th at 5:00 pm and will conclude at 6:30 pm. The evenings schedule includes brief information sessions from various areas across campus including: Computing Services, Testing Services, Academic Services and the Library. Students also receive information on a variety of Student Services available through the Office of the Dean of Students as well as information on Campus Ministry opportunities. A time of Q&A will also be available for students.
All new commuting transfers will receive an invitation to this dinner in the mail. Because we are serving a meal, it is essential that you let us know that you will be attending. Please do so by contacting Karen Taylor, Assistant Director of Student Leadership Development at ktaylor@uu.edu or 731.661.5244.
New student orientation is not just for freshmen. Union has tailored small groups and specifically trained leaders who will work with the new transfer students. Find out more about the full new student orientation experience If you are a commuting transfer who would like to participate in the full orientation experience, please contact Jason Castles, Director, Office of Student Leadership Development.
