Each year, Focus Leaders are selected to lead a group of approximately 20 new students through Union's four day orientation each Fall. These leaders play an important role in helping new students connect with new friends and meet other students both inside and outside of the classroom. Focus Leaders also help new students learn about the University and acclimate to their new life in college.
The selection of new focus leaders takes place each spring. Students selected to serve in this leadership role should be students who take every advantage of the University experience and serve as positive role models to other students. Students interested in holding this position must submit an application, along with two recommendation letters from a Union University faculty or staff member. Students must participate in an interview process that will determine which leaders are selected for the upcoming year.
International Focus Leaders are focus leaders that serve our new International and Missionary Dependent students. A special orientation is held for these students prior to the beginning of focus.
