Concentrations

Accounting Concentration

Business Analytics Concentration

The MBA with a Human Resources concentration at Union University develops students’ understanding of HR fundamentals, strategic HR leadership, and organizational culture. Leadership Concentration

With special emphasis on ethics and social issues in management, the program equips students to lead people, teams, and organizations effectively in a Christ-centered academic environment.

Marketing Concentration

The MBA with a Marketing concentration at Union University develops students’ expertise in strategic marketing, digital marketing, selling strategies, and consumer insights. Designed for both emerging professionals and experienced marketers, the program equips graduates with the depth of knowledge and strategic perspective needed to lead marketing in complex, fast-changing environments.

Combination-Degree Options

Combination Degree options are offered in conjunction with the College of Nursing, the College of Pharmacy, the School of Social Work, and the School of Theology and Missions. Interested students enrolled in either the Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Social Work, or Master of Christian Studies programs may apply for the MBA combination-degree option. The design of these programs reduces the total courses required to complete both degrees. All regular admission requirements must be met and can be found on the Graduate Combination Degree Programs section of the catalogue.

Combination Degrees may be obtained within the McAfee School of Business between the MBA and the Master of Accountancy (MAcc). Six hours earned in the MBA program may be counted in the MAcc.

A Combination degree has been established with the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). According to this agreement Union will accept six hours from SBTS Master of Divinity courses, and Southern Seminary will accept twelve hours from Union’s MBA program.

Students should seek advice from each respective program regarding these options. In all combination degree options, at least 60 total hours must be completed for the combination degree, which includes a minimum or 30 unique credit hours per respective program. Applicants to combination degrees must apply to and be accepted to each program separately, per current admission requirements of each program.
