Erica Peete became confident that Union University was the right choice for her after discovering it through a web search and speaking with Luanne Powell in the School of Adult and Professional Studies.
Peete, who currently works as a human resources business partner for a medical distribution company in Memphis, earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership this spring. Throughout her time at Union she has been thankful for the supportive and encouraging environment.
“From faculty to staff, everyone genuinely wants to see students succeed,” Peete said.
Flexible Program
The flexibility of the BSOL program allowed Peete to balance her coursework with her personal responsibilities, and she notes that the BSOL program has directly supported her career.
“Union has helped prepare me by strengthening my leadership, communication and critical thinking skills. The coursework is practical and directly applicable to real-world situations in my career,” she said.
Peete said Union’s Christ-centered approach to education also contributed to her spiritual growth.
“Through discussions, assignments and interactions, I’ve been able to reflect more deeply on my values and purpose,” she said. “It has strengthened my relationship with God while pursuing my education.”
Continuing Education
Peete plans to continue her education at Union, pursuing a Master of Business Administration, and she hopes to build on the leadership skills and confidence she developed through the BSOL program while she advances in her career.
“Union has provided me with an exceptional educational experience rooted in both faith and excellence,” Peete said. “The support, professionalism and genuine care for students make it a place where you can truly grow.”
Peete encourages anyone considering completing a degree at Union to “stay the course,” noting that support and encouragement are plentiful throughout the journey.
