Vaccine Information for vaccines offered in Health Services

The mission of the Health Clinic is to provide medical services for minor injuries and illnesses; to promote healthy lifestyles; and to demonstrate care in a Christ-like manner to the students, faculty and staff of Union University.

WHO...CAN USE HEALTH SERVICES?

All faculty, staff and students have access to Health Services. Spouses and dependents are not eligible.

WHAT...SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?

  • Health Care for Minor Illnesses and Injuries
  • Physical Exams
  • TB Skin Tests
  • Immunizations (influenza, MMR, tetanus, hepatitis A and B, travel vaccines, meningitis)
  • Lab Tests (strep, urinalysis, pregnancy, mono, blood glucose)
  • Printed Literature and Videos on Health–related Topics
  • Blood Pressure Checks
  • Consultation and Referrals!

WHERE...IS HEALTH SERVICES LOCATED?

Student Health Services is located in the Hyran E. Barefoot Student Union Building. The office may be accessed through Student Services or by an outside entrance. The nurse in Health Services may be reached by phone at ext. 5284 on campus or 661-5284 from off-campus or by e-mail at pmayer@uu.edu.

WHEN... IS HEALTH SERVICES OPEN?

During regular semesters, the Student Health Services clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. when classes are in session. The clinic is closed on Fridays between 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. for chapel.
